COVID-19 IMPACTED THEM
- According to a UNICEF report (2019), about half the total number of children with different learning and developmental needs do not attend school. According to a new UNICEF report, many parents of children with learning differences experienced a loss in earnings due to the pandemic, resulting in them being unable to afford essential early intervention and behavioral therapy (2020). Even when these children do go to school, they struggle later to enter the working world or begin tertiary education.
- Additionally, 14% of kids with differences surveyed claim their mental and physical health have regressed.
