Care2Run, founded by Prem Kumar, runs programmes like ‘Nature Bingo’, ‘Urban Camping’, and the KL Bar Run to build teamwork, resilience, and friendships beyond the classroom.

Invaluable Victory | KL Bar Run 2025
The KL Bar Run 2025 marked its 10th year by welcoming a record number of PWD participants, trained by Care2Run and supported by 54 volunteer mentors. The 46 special-needs runners, aged 9–36, showcased inclusiveness, teamwork, and determination. Sponsors provided race packs and shoes, making the day one of joy and achievement.
Charity run empowers special needs children
The KL Bar Run 2024 saw 30 special-needs participants join over a thousand lawyers, coached by Care2Run and guided by volunteer pacers. The event promoted inclusiveness and transformation for youths with autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome, with strong support from sponsors and parents.

KL Bar Run 2024
Care2Run kicked off 2024 with the KL Bar Run at Metropolitan Park, Kepong, where 10 relay teams and 48 runners took part, supported by family, friends, and generous sponsors like Zarina Loh & Wong and Kevin Wong & Partners.

Special Olympics Selangor
On May 22, 2022, Care2Run and Xtraordinary Digital School joined forces with Special Olympics Selangor for the State Games. This marked one of their first post-pandemic physical events. During the event, young athletes participated in various sports, showcasing resilience and joy. Above all, the event beautifully captured their strength, determination, and spirit.
World Down Syndrome Day with ORKIDS
On 21st March, which is World Down Syndrome Day, Care2Run collaborated with ORKIDS to raise awareness about Down syndrome and support their organisation. As a result, 100 portraits and nine videos of children from ORKIDS were produced. Over the course of ten days, the team poured their hearts into the project to make this feat possible.

Grateful for the opportunity to represent Care2Run at LITE Malaysia. While others may shy away, they embrace the most under-served and often forgotten members of the community — youngsters with autism, youngsters with Down syndrome, and those from low socio-economic backgrounds.

Teen on Autism Spectrum is now a confident Care2Run Junior Coach
Mikhail Raul, 17, has Asperger’s syndrome and was bullied in school despite his love for learning. His mother enrolled him in Care2Run, where he built confidence and became a Junior Coach. He now attends coding classes and dreams of turning his passion into a career. A scholarship from the RYTHM Foundation supports his journey.

Running For Life
On January 16, 2018, Care2Run supported 34 under-served and special-needs children in the Standard Chartered KL Marathon at Dataran Merdeka, with race options of 3km, 5km, and 10km. Guided by 36 mentors—including volunteers, teachers, and cancer survivors from the UMMC Support Group—the children completed the run successfully. Notably, the event was featured in The Star newspaper.
Care2Run by Project H.O.P.E
Care2Run representatives, Denise and Sandra, were featured on BFM Radio’s podcast to discuss the beginnings and goals of the organisation. In addition, they shared personal experiences and reflections, giving listeners an inside look into their journey with Care2Run.

Learn Life Lessons With Running and Hiking Mentors
On January 23, 2016, Care2Run was featured for the first time in The Star after 108 under-served children completed a 3 km run to raise funds for prostate cancer. Guided by our goal-setting module, the experience significantly boosted their confidence. As a result, it led to improved academic performance, with 20 children earning their first medals or certificates.
Project Hope Takes Learning Outside the Classroom
Care2Run’s pilot programme was successfully executed on October 17, 2015, with the support of volunteers, WAO staff and refuge women, children from the WAO Child Care Centre, and the Prudential Welfare Home. This event marked the birth of Care2Run. Subsequently, it led to our first media feature in the November–December 2015 issue of Running Malaysia Magazine.
