2014
Do Good Project
Do Good Project, was a memorable outdoor community event held before the organisation was officially established. This one-off initiative brought together 90 underprivileged children from two welfare homes, with the support of volunteers from Divine Life Society Malaysia, MySkills Foundation, and KL Hiking Club. The event aimed to nurture a love for the outdoors and foster team spirit among the children. With a crowd-funded budget of RM2,980, refreshments and gifts were provided, making the day meaningful and impactful for all involved.

2015
Birth of Care2Run
Care2Run began with 12 passionate volunteers, inspired by conversations with schoolteachers and welfare home representatives, to promote character development and fitness in children. On October 17, 2015, the vision became reality with the launch of the Pilot Programme at Cape Rachado, Port Dickson, supported by volunteers, WAO staff, and children from welfare homes.
Care2Run Season 1
On October 24, 2015, Care2Run’s first 8-week programme at the University of Malaya empowered 27 underserved children through sports and character building. Backed by a RM5,000 grant from Petaling Jaya City Council, 20 volunteers, and schoolteachers helped lay the foundation for its impactful journey.
2016
Give of H.O.P.E
Care2Run launched the Gift of H.O.P.E. (Healing Opportunities for People Everywhere) initiative to support breast cancer survivors through exercise therapy in nature on March 12, 2016. This meaningful event brought together 60 participants, including survivors, Care2Run children, and volunteers, for a trail run, nature walk, balloon art, and an inspiring performance by the Candy Girls Pink Dance Crew which is a group of breast cancer survivors.
The programme was guided by UMMC advisors, Associate Professor Dr. Mohd Nahar Azmi and Professor Dr. Nur Aishah Md Taib, Head of Breast Cancer Surgery. Collaborations with Datasonic Foundation and Rex Industry Berhad enriched the event, fostering resilience and joy among participants while reinforcing Care2Run’s commitment to holistic healing.

2017
Yayasan Bursa Malaysia provided a RM50,000 grant to Care2Run
On November 16, 2017, Care2Run received a generous RM50,000 grant from Yayasan Bursa Malaysia, awarded through the Bursa Bull Charge 2017 fund. The cheque was officially presented during a ceremony at Bursa’s office in Kuala Lumpur, marking a significant step forward for Care2Run’s initiatives in supporting underserved children and youth.
International Meetings in Japan, Hawaii, and Thailand with Like-Minded Organisations
As part of its global outreach, Care2Run had the opportunity to visit top special needs schools in Japan, Hawaii, and Thailand. A highlight of the trip was visiting Japan’s University of Tsukuba and Musashino Higashi-Gakuen, a leading special needs school in Tokyo. Founder Prem Kumar Ramadas, accompanied by co-founder Chia Mee Leng, also earned the prestigious Senator Francis A. Wong Leadership Award for his volunteerism work in Hawaii.
2018
Junior Leaders Programme (JLP) 1
Care2Run celebrated a significant milestone with the graduation of 11 junior sports coaches through its pioneering Junior Leaders Programme (JLP). Designed to enhance the employability of special and high-risk children nearing school completion, the eight-to-ten-week programme provides participants with hands-on training to develop skills as sports coaches. This transformative initiative equips these young individuals with the confidence and ability to give back to their schools and communities, marking a profound impact on their futures.
2019
Foundation Programme 7.0
From 12th to 15th October 2019, Care2Run conducted the Foundation Programme 7.0 across multiple locations, including Space Rubix in Puchong, Taman Aman Park in PJ, and Tadika Diyana in TTDI. The programme engaged 15 participants and was made exceptional by the active involvement of 10 junior coaches, all graduates of the Junior Leaders Programme (JLP).
These young leaders played a pivotal role in mentoring participants, showcasing their growth and dedication by giving back to the community. The event stood as a testament to the transformative power of Care2Run’s initiatives, fostering a cycle of support and leadership.
2020
FunXercise & #Care2Dance Challenges
During the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), Care2Run introduced FunXercise sessions to address the declining mental and physical health of differently abled youngsters and local citizens. These sessions combined online and on-site activities at the Care2Run House, with participation expanding during the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) to include outdoor sessions at Taman Aman Park.
The initiative was co-facilitated by Senior Coaches, Junior Coaches, and interns, ensuring a dynamic and inclusive experience. Additionally, the #Care2Dance YouTube challenge brought together 92 participants of all ages, who showcased their creativity through self-choreographed dance videos, inspiring the community and reinforcing the spirit of resilience.
2021
Xtraordinary Digital Studio Launch
On 9th April 2021, Care2Run proudly unveiled the Xtraordinary Digital Studio at the Care2Run House. This innovative space was established to provide learning and job opportunities for differently abled youngsters. Equipped with tools and technology funded by contributions from December 2020 and generous donations, the studio embodies the spirit of inclusion and empowerment.
In addition to its educational goals, the studio offers rental, photoshoots, and editing services to external clients, creating a sustainable revenue stream to support Care2Run’s mission. The launch marked a significant milestone in fostering creativity, skill development, and self-sufficiency for the community.

2022
Special Olympics Selangor
On May 22, 2022, Care2Run and Xtraordinary Digital School partnered with Special Olympics Selangor for the State Games, marking one of their first physical events after the pandemic. The event celebrated the resilience and determination of young athletes as they participated in various sports. Care2Run documented these heartwarming moments, highlighting the athletes’ exuberance and unity unwavering spirit. The collaboration showcased the power of community and inclusivity, making it a truly inspiring day.
2023
KL Bar Run 2023
On January 15, 2023, Care2Run kicked off the year with the KL Bar Run at Metropolitan Park, Kepong, Malaysia. The event saw ten Care2Run relay teams, comprising 40 runners and volunteer pacers, enthusiastically supported by family and friends. Generous sponsorships from law firms Zarina Loh &Wong and Kevin Wong & Partners played a pivotal role in making this event a resounding success. 2024
Care2Run Family Day
On June 29th, Care2Run Family Day 2024 brought joy and togetherness at the picturesque Seri Pilmoor Clubhouse. The day began with an energizing morning run, followed by splashing fun with exciting new games like Water Bingo and Water Relay. Families cooled off in the pool and enjoyed a delicious buffet, creating cherished memories. Huge thanks to our hosts, sponsors, and supporters, including Zairina Loh &Wong, for making this day unforgettable. With laughter, camaraderie, and waves of fun, the event showcased the vibrant spirit of the Care2Run community.
