If you were to chat with volunteer mentor Suganiya, she’d tell you that she’s reaped more rewards than her mentees by being involved with Care2Run.
Voices That Care
Rachel has only been volunteering with Care2Run since November 2018, yet from the effortless manner in which she interacts with Care2Run’s young participants, it is easy to assume that she’s a veteran mentor.
Like many teenagers her age, Yen Yen loves meeting friends and dancing. Unlike many teenagers though, this beautiful young woman’s differences mean that she experiences challenges in articulating what she likes and enjoys, or even when she just wants to be left alone.
Parthivan started out with Care2Run as a mentee in 2016. And since then, the young man has grown from strength to strength, displaying not just confidence in himself but empathy and compassion for his fellow participants.
Talhah is a bright, affable young lad who enjoys Care2Run’s sessions because it allows him the opportunity to connect with young people who face the same challenges he does. The sessions have also allowed the young man, who’s currently pursuing a master’s degree is public policy, to bond with his brother Anas, who also regularly attends Care2Run’s programmes.
