From the first day she and her son, Zi Ren, joined us at the practice session for participants of our inaugural Junior Leaders Programme, Irene’s been passing on the word to friends about the many ways Care2Run helps differently-abled young people.

Leena has been a vital member of Care2Run’s core team since the beginning of 2019. As a matter of fact, very few of the programmes we’ve led and been a part of over the last five months – including the on-going Junior Leaders Programme – would have been as successful without Leena’s phenomenal organisational and coordination skills.

IT wasn’t difficult to say “yes” when she heard Care2Run was looking for help all those years ago, Karen tells us. There was a need for volunteers and she jumped at the opportunity to give back.

To Jimmy, it was his love for running and sports that drew him to Care2Run. And even though, he says that he often didn’t feel up to the challenge when interacting with our participants, what is true is that his passion for running did rub off on many of the young people from Care2Run’s first cohort.

For six weeks, Kanta interned with Care2Run and he says that even though he sometimes felt out of his depth, he would jump at the chance to return to Malaysia and work with us again.
